Activate your Karma plan first
Make sure your Karma SIM card (the one that includes your plan and came with your shipment) has been activated first. Visit karmamobility.com/activate. Click here to read the FAQ article, if you need help with activation.
Is your hotspot compatible?
Now that your SIM card has been activated, you can begin using it. Make sure to insert your Karma SIM card into a compatible GSM unlocked hotspot device (if you have a GSMT Karma SIM card) or a Sprint compatible hotspot device (if you have a CDMAS Karma SIM card).
Not sure which one you have? Check your SIM card’s serial number (called the ICCID). GSMT SIM cards begin with 89012 and CDMAS SIM cards begin with 89011.
Not sure what kind of hotspot you need, to use with your Karma SIM card? Take a look at this Amazon listing. Notice it has “unlocked” in the description? That means the hotspot can be used with any SIM card, including the GSMT Karma SIM card.
The Karma Mobility Franklin Wireless hotspot for just $79.99 is GSM unlocked and can be used with any GSM SIM card, including, of course, your Karma SIM card. Go now.
Take a look at this Amazon listing. Notice it is a Sprint-branded device. This device can work with your Karma CDMAS SIM card.
Insert the SIM and connect
With your SIM card inserted into a compatible device, it’s time to complete the setup process. You can try first, to simply fire up your computer, tablet or laptop (or whatever type of WiFi-capable device you plan to use with your Karma service) and connect.
For many, newer WiFi-capable products, you don’t need to go through a setup process. However, if the product doesn't connect automatically, you’ll need to complete another step -- configure your hotspot’s APN network settings.
